Former Celtic participant Leigh Griffiths has been questioned by police investigating alleged playing in sport.
Police Scotland carried out an operation in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, Bonnyrigg in Midlothian and Airdrie in North Lanarkshire on Thursday.
The drive mentioned three males have been arrested and launched with out cost pending additional inquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesman mentioned: “Following a pre-planned police operation on Thursday 1 December, three males, aged 37, 35 and 32, have been arrested within the Bothwell, Bonnyrigg and Airdrie areas in reference to an investigation into alleged playing incidents in sport.
“All three males have been launched with out cost pending additional inquiries.”
Griffiths, 32, confirmed he spoke to police however mentioned he was not arrested and denied any wrongdoing, the BBC reported.
The footballer scored 123 objectives in 261 appearances for Celtic.
The previous Livingston, Wolves and Hibernian ahead received the final of his 22 Scotland caps in November 2020.
